Ian Hauer

Ian joined IHCDA in January 2023. He serves as Director of Marketing & Communications, where he oversees all external and internal communications of the agency, including media relations, website maintenance, social media, photography, videography, promotional pieces, speeches, and talking points.

Before joining IHCDA, Ian served as as Deputy Chief of Staff and Communications Director for the Indiana Treasurer of State from November 2020 to January 2023. He also served as Deputy Communications Director for the Indiana Secretary of State, Policy and Legislative Liaison for the Indiana Lieutenant Governor, and a Legislative Assistant for the State Senate. He grew up in Newburgh, Indiana and holds a bachelor’s degree from IU Indianapolis. Away from state government, Ian is heavily involved in community theatre as an actor, director, playwright, and producer. He lives with his wife in Noblesville.
