Kanan Ajmera

Kanan is passionate about creating affordable housing for all. She is an experienced real estate professional, who has worked with top-tier banks and firms to structure and finance affordable housing projects. She is also a trained architect and urban designer with several years of experience in designing multi-family housing developments. She founded Builders Patch in 2017.

Builders Patch is a SaaS solution that streamlines the process of financing the development and preservation of affordable multifamily housing for CRE lenders and developers. Built for the unique and complex workflows of loan officers and underpinned by a powerful data and AI-driven underwriting engine, Builders Patch shaves hundreds of work hours from the deal financing process while providing them powerful portfolio-wide analytics.

Kanan holds a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and has a B.Arch. from the University of Mumbai, India. She is also a LEED Accredited Professional. She lives in New York with her husband and two children.
