Michael Wieczorek

Michael Wieczorek is a Program Manager in the Community Affairs Department at the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA). He has been with IHDA for four years, where he manages the Authority’s primary home repair programs. Michael led the merger and redesign of these initiatives into the Home Repair and Accessibility Program (HRAP). HRAP is a comprehensive rehabilitation initiative that assists low-income homeowners across Illinois with health and safety repairs. He also oversees a down payment assistance program that is operated in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Illinois. Additionally, he served on a NCSHA task force, in collaboration with other state housing authorities, to develop a new rehabilitation loan program.

Michael holds a Master of Public Affairs (MPA) from the La Follette School of Public Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from Loyola University Chicago.
