Amy Nehl

Amy Nehl is a born and raised Oregonian and obtained her degree from Portland State University. In her career she has been committed to removing barriers between people and the programs, services, and resources they need to thrive. Since 2021, Amy has been the Public Affairs Director for Oregon Housing and Community Services, Oregon’s Housing Finance Agency. In her role at OHCS she has built a talented communications, engagement and government relations team that navigates crisis communication planning and response, proactively elevates the work of the agency externally, and strengthens relationships with partners and the public statewide.
Prior to serving as Director of Public Affairs, she had a lengthy career leading communications, marketing, public relations, and community engagement in local government. Amy is an equity-minded leader who cultivates an inclusive, collaborative, and results-driven workplace. She’s enjoyed opportunities to lead teams of diverse, talented, and innovative professionals working towards improving the lives of Oregonians.
