Mechele Grimes

Mechele has been dedicated to affordable housing since 1999. Starting with housing and community development for a 16-county development district. Got involved in the local home builders association (HBA) and now the state HBA level as well. 2008 Mechele served as a Vice President a local community bank for nearly 10 years assisting with FHA, USDA and NeighborWorks programs as well as individual homebuyer real estate needs. 2018 started her career at the Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) as a regional housing specialist and in 2019 was promoted to overseeing both the HOME & HTF Programs where she served both program until January of 2023. Currently oversees just the HOME Program for DED and continues to serve on the state and local home builders association board.
