Julia Gordon is the executive vice president of the National Community Stabilization Trust, a non-profit organization that aims to restore vacant and abandoned properties to productive use and protect neighborhoods from blight. Gordon manages the organizationā€™s flagship REOMatch/First Look program, which provides local community development organizations with a ā€œfirst lookā€ opportunity to acquire REO properties from Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and other sellers. As a national expert on housing finance, mortgage, and foreclosure issues, Gordon also drives NCSTā€™s policy work, which focuses on federal, state and local policies related to neighborhood stabilization, blight and foreclosure prevention.

Prior to joining NCST, Gordon served as the Senior Director of Housing and Consumer Finance at the Center for American Progress (CAP). Other positions include managing the single-family policy team at the Federal Housing Finance Agency, serving as senior policy counsel at the Center for Responsible Lending, and working in civil legal aid. Gordon received her bachelor’s degree in government from Harvard College and her J.D. from Harvard Law School.
