Joseph Tait

Joe Tait is a Managing Director for Raymond James’s National Housing Group. Prior to joining Raymond James in 2008, Mr. Tait was an Executive Director and senior housing banker with UBS Securities LLC. Mr. Tait’s 32-year career in single and multifamily financing for HFAs includes the application of derivative products and capital markets alternatives to municipal bonds such as the use of the TBA. His experience ranges from small “stand-alone” MBS backed bonds and whole-loan, three-tranche structures to large open resolution issues. Mr. Tait brings creativity and a results oriented drive to each HFA he works with. He has pioneered a number of innovative and unique tax approaches for municipal housing and was instrumental in creating Raymond James TBA based “Turnkey” product. Mr. Tait earned his B.Sc. from the State University of New York (Harpur College) where he majored in Mathematics and Political Science. In addition, he is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds Series 7 General Securities and Series 53 Municipal Principal licenses.
