S&P Global Ratings’ 2018 outlook for the U.S. public finance (USPF) housing sector in 2018 is stable, with some limited exceptions. The industry begins 2018 breathing a sigh of relief that the final version of the federal Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 (the Tax Act) maintained tax-exempt private activity bonds, the lifeblood of the sector, and taking a moment to recover from one of the busiest Decembers on record.
