HUD Notice H–2025–03: Extension of Mandatory Compliance Date for Sections 102 and 104 of HOTMA
On May 29, 2025, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) issued a notice extending the compliance deadline for Sections 102 and 104 of the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act (HOTMA) to January 1, 2026. This extension applies to owners of multifamily properties participating in a range of HUD programs, including the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program, Section 8 Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA), and Section 811 Project Rental Assistance (811 PRA), among others. The announcement follows a series of prior extensions, the most recent of which extended the deadline through July 1, 2025.
