HOME FY26 THUD Appropriations Request
On April 30, 2025, the HOME Coalition — chaired by NCSHA and representing more than 800 national, state, and local groups that support increasing resources for the HOME Investment Partnerships Program — sent a letter to the Senate and House Appropriations Subcommittees on Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development to express strong support for $1.5 billion in fiscal year 2026 funding for HOME. HOME represents the largest federal block grant dedicated exclusively to the production of new affordable housing units for rent or purchase. It is an important tool for states and localities to address critical housing shortages in their communities.
