WHEDA Welcomes Two New Board Members

Rep. Kalan Haywood II joins WHEDA Board

State Rep. Kalan Haywood II, who represents Wisconsin’s 16th Assembly District in Milwaukee, has been appointed to serve as a member of the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) Board of Directors.

Haywood was elected in 2018. He grew up in the district and graduated from Rufus King International High School in 2017 before attending Cardinal Stritch University where he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He serves on key Assembly committees including Housing and Real Estate, Ways and Means, Workforce Development, Veterans and Military Affairs and International Affairs and Commerce. Read more.

Ranell Washington joins WHEDA Board

Ranell Washington, partnership development adviser for American Family Insurance, has been appointed to serve as a member of the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) Board of Directors.

Washington’s experience includes some 15 years as a credit analyst and business banker, most recently serving as vice president of business banking and community development group team leader with Town Bank in Milwaukee. He has been honored for his philanthropic involvement with United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha; he also currently serves as a member of Milwaukee’s City Plan Commission. Read more.
