Lisa Ford Joins New Hampshire Housing’s Homeownership Team
Lisa Ford recently joined New Hampshire Housingโs Homeownership Division as Senior Manager, Partner Relationships. Ford will be responsible for creating and managing relationships with participating lenders and originators, professional mortgage organizations, real estate professionals, and others involved with mortgage programs and homeownership. Ford previously was a mortgage loan officer with Bank of New Hampshire, is a Certified Mortgage Professional (CMP) and a licensed real estate broker.
Gov. DeSantis Extends Executive Order on Foreclosures and Evictions
As the Florida Housing Finance Corporation (Florida Housing) continues to remain open and continuing all business activity, we want to keep Florida families and stakeholders abreast of housing updates. In Executive Order 20-180, Governor DeSantis extended Executive Order 20-94 that provides targeted, temporary relief from certain mortgage foreclosures and evictions until September 1, 2020, without relieving an individualโs obligation to make mortgage payments and rent.
LHC Announces City of New Orleans and Finance Authority of New Orleans (FANO) Partnership
The Louisiana Housing Corporation (LHC) has announced its partnership with the City of New Orleans and Finance Authority of New Orleans (FANO) to provide more affordable housing opportunities and community stability to the City of New Orleans. Through their Cooperative Endeavor Agreement, the Louisiana Housing Corporation is extending access to FANO that allows them to pair their multifamily revenue bonds with LHC's non-competitive 4% Low-Income Housing Tax Credits.
Boatman Patterson Re-Appointed as California Housing Finance Agency Executive Director
Tia Boatman Patterson was re-appointed as Executive Director of the California Housing Finance Agency by Governor Gavin Newsom on Tuesday. The position requires state Senate confirmation. Boatman Patterson was originally appointed to the post by Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. in 2014, after she served on CalHFAโs Board of Directors, and the Agency has flourished during her time at the helm.
OHFA Trustees Approve HOME Contracts to Bring Single Family Houses to Oklahoma Communities
Six Oklahoma non-profit housing organizations plan to utilize funding approved by Oklahoma Housing Finance Agencyโs Board of Trustees to build or rehabilitate houses for low income residents living in communities across the state. Each organization also received an operating assistance grant. Additionally, Community Action Agency of Oklahoma City and Oklahoma/Canadian Counties, Inc. received a $200,000 grant that will provide assistance to 15 homebuyers across Oklahoma and Canadian Counties.
Denver Maw Named CHFA Finance Director
Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) is pleased to announce Denver Maw has been named as the organizationโs finance director. Maw joined CHFA in 2013 and most recently served as finance manager, overseeing CHFAโs debt issuance and administration.ย โI look forward to collaborating with CHFAโs partners, customers, and our internal teams to meet the needs of affordable housing and community development finance in Colorado. CHFA is an excellent organization to be a part of and Iโm honored to serve in this new capacity,โ said Maw.
WHEDA Awards National Housing Trust Funds
Three projects that will provide housing to extremely low-income elderly and disabled residents have been awarded a total of $1.9 million in National Housing Trust Fund financing by the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority. The projects, in Ashwaubenon, Bristol and Milwaukee, previously received highly competitive federal 9% or state 4% housing tax credits administered by WHEDA.

The Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority is now welcoming applications for the rural affordable workforce housing pilot.
