KHC Celebrates Grand Opening of Stonewall Terrace in Lexington
Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) joined Lexington Mayor Linda Gorton, Representative Cherlynn Stevenson, Senator Reginald Thomas, and others on Friday, April 21, 2023, to dedicate Stonewall Terrace, a 26-unit permanent supportive housing community in Lexington developed through a partnership between AVOL and Winterwood, Inc.
Maryland Mortgage Program Recognizes Top Lender and Realtor Partners at Annual Awards Ceremony
The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development recognized the top performing lender and realtor partners of 2022 on Thursday during the Maryland Mortgage Program’s annual awards event, which featured remarks from Secretary Jake Day and the MMP leadership team, as well as from US Bank, Maryland REALTORS, Freddie Mac, and the Maryland Bankers and Brokers Association.
MSHDA Board Supports Newcomer Rental Subsidy Program and Development Projects to Increase Affordable Housing Statewide
The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) Board approved a Newcomer Rental Subsidy (NRS) program that will provide temporary support for refugees and other immigrant populations coming to the state. MSHDA also authorized funding for rehabilitation projects for two multifamily properties in New Baltimore and Eaton County, during its April meeting.
Kansas Housing Awards the First State Affordable Housing Tax Credits
The first Kansas Affordable Housing Tax Credits have been awarded to four 4% Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and Private Activity Bond (PAB) projects. In January, Kansas Housing received 11 applications equating to over $250 million in Private Activity Bonds for the first of three application rounds. Of the four applications awarded, the approved LIHTCs and PABs will build 436 new units and rehabilitate 181 affordable units.
