Minnesota Housing Releases the Documentary “Where We Live”
[SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA] Minnesota Housing has released “Where We Live,” a documentary commemorating its 50-year history.

“Where We Live” honors the evolution of Minnesota Housing over five decades. The 50-minute film highlights the inception of the Agency, the evolution of its programs and the people it serves.

Along with insight from Agency leaders, “Where We Live” shares stories of residents whose lives unfold in homes supported by Minnesota Housing.

Minnesota Housing was founded in 1971 and opened its doors in 1972. Minnesota Housing Commissioner Jennifer Leimaile Ho says, “It’s important to know our past and how it came into being. [Minnesota Housing] was not built this way on day one. We’ve evolved, and we continue to evolve.”

“Where We Live” is composed of different chapters that highlight the important work of Minnesota Housing. Topics include preventing and ending homelessness, rental properties, homeownership, equity in housing, and manufactured housing.

The documentary was produced by Seavert Studios and Ben Garvin Media.

“Where We Live” can be viewed on Minnesota Housing’s YouTube channel at Where We Live: Minnesota Housing Celebrates 50 Years.
