Kentucky Housing Corporation Honors Top Partners, Announces Closing Cost Grant

Lending Partners, Loan Officers, Real Estate Partners Gather to Celebrate Providing More Than 2,900 Kentuckians Access to Affordable Homeownership Loans

FRANKFORT, Kentucky — Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC), the state housing finance agency, recognized its 2024 top homeownership partners last night at the 20th Annual Top Producer Awards held at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville.

“We honored our top producing partners yesterday, but I want to extend my gratitude to all of the loan officers, lending companies and real estate companies who partnered with Kentucky Housing Corporation last year,” said Winston Miller, executive director and chief executive officer. “Their dedication, hard work and ingenuity empowered more than 2,900 Kentuckians to become homeowners. We are proud of our partners’ success and look forward to another great year in 2025.”

For the fourth straight year, Stockton Mortgage Corporation earned Top Lender, First Place. Closing 468 KHC loans in 2024, Stockton loan officers generated a loan volume of $87.5 million for KHC’s portfolio. Stockton Mortgage is based in Frankfort, Kentucky, but it also has offices in Ashland, Bowling Green, Florence, Georgetown, Hopkinsville, Lexington, Louisville and Pikeville.

“Affordable housing is near and dear to my heart,” said David Stockton, president and owner of Stockton Mortgage. “I was once a first-time homebuyer, and it was affordable housing products that made that possible. To be one of the top lenders is an honor. I’m immensely proud of the team here at Stockton. The consistency that Stockton enjoys boils down to the people. Everybody at the company is committed to helping people attain homeownership.”

Kenneth Prost of Success Mortgage Partners Inc. received Top Loan Officer honors. He closed 70 KHC loans in Northern Kentucky in 2024.

“Kentucky Housing Corporation is vital to the state and vital to our success,” said Prost. “It is an honor to be one of the top lenders in the state for KHC.”

The Top Producing Real Estate Agency award was given to eXp Realty LLC for the second year in a row. Working with KHC-approved loan officers, they helped more than 90 homebuyers close using KHC loans.

“I was so excited last year when KHC established this award and said it wanted to recognize real estate companies,” said Elizabeth Monarch, the designated principal broker in Kentucky for eXp Realty. “To be a part of eXp and to be recognized for the work we have done — in helping affordable housing and helping buyers get into homes — is an absolute accomplishment. We are so proud to be part of that list here in the state of Kentucky.”

Closing Cost Grant

During the celebration, KHC announced a new, limited-time closing cost grant. Starting today, homebuyers using a KHC loan are eligible for up to $2,000 in assistance with down payments, closing costs, and prepaids on top of the up to $10,000 in down payment assistance qualified buyers can receive. The $2,000 is limited to the first eligible 500 KHC buyers and does not need to be repaid.
