Urban Land Institute Seeking Nominations for Annual Housing Awards

The Urban Land Institute’s Terwilliger Center for Housing is currently accepting nominations for its annual housing awards: the Jack Kemp Excellence in Affordable and Workforce Housing Awards, distinguishing developments working to create inclusive communities of opportunity, and the Robert C. Larson Housing Policy Leadership Awards, which recognize innovative state and local affordable and workforce housing policy developments.

For the Jack Kemp Excellence in Affordable and Workforce Housing Awards, eligible developments must be owned/developed by a private for-profit or not-for-profit business entity, located in the United States, targeted in whole or in part to households with incomes of 120 percent or less of the area median income; and substantially complete by time of application.

For the Robert C. Larson Housing Policy Leadership Awards, applicants must be a state (or department or office within a state) or a unit of a local jurisdiction (or any of its offices or departments) within the United States. In addition, eligible programs and policies are those that serve households at or below 120 percent of area median income. Individual projects or developments will not be accepted.

Awards will be selected on the basis of innovation, replicability, and effectiveness.

The application deadline is on March 5. For more information about specific eligibility requirements and to apply, click here.
