Trump Administration Statement of Administration Policy on Housing for the 21st Century Act
On February 9, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) released a statement outlining the Trump Administration’s position on the Housing for the 21st Century Act (H.R. 6644), which the House of Representatives passed that same day. In the statement, the Trump Administration says that, while it is pleased with some of the reforms in the bill which will lower construction costs, it is concerned several other administration priorities were not included, particularly a ban on single-family home purchases by institutional investors.
