NCSHA Letter to HUD and Treasury on FFB–FHA Risk-Sharing Program
On January 26, 2026, NCSHA sent this letter to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and HUD Secretary Scott Turner to express concern about the agencies’ termination of Federal Financing Bank support for multifamily housing loans financed through the Federal Housing Administration’s Housing Finance Agency Multifamily Loan Risk-Sharing Program. The letter urges the Administration to maintain the program, or at a minimum, ensure an orderly transition, so that projects already in the pipeline can move forward and communities are not harmed.
