NCSHA Comments to HUD on Modernizing the Delivery of Housing Counseling Services
On December 20, 2023, NCSHA sent this letter to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in response to a request for comment on the Proposed Rule, “Modernizing the Delivery of Housing Counseling Services,” published on November 1, 2023. NCSHA expressed support for HUD’s efforts to permanently authorize the use of telephonic and virtual counseling methods, which would allow clients to access counseling services that were previously unobtainable.
