KHC Among First to Present to Legislative Housing Task Force

New committee formed to examine state’s housing needs

FRANKFORT, Kentucky — Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) presented yesterday at the inaugural meeting of the Kentucky Housing Task Force, a special legislative committee formed to explore housing needs in the Commonwealth.

Wendy Smith, KHC’s deputy executive director of housing programs, introduced the committee to KHC, explained our role and programs and discussed the Kentucky Housing Supply Gap Analysis. She outlined the need for more housing throughout the state and the contributing factors that are causing shortages in each county.

KHC’s presentation generated lively discussion and led to many questions by the committee’s members.
