Michael Dennis

Michael Dennis is the Senior Program Advisor to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Office of Public Housing and Voucher Programs at HUD.  In this capacity he is responsible for serving as a principal policy advisor for the public housing and housing choice voucher programs.  Prior to assuming that position he worked as in a senior program analyst in HUD’s Office of Policy, Program, and Legislative Initiatives (OPPLI), where one of his primary duties was working on the initial implementation of the Housing Opportunities Through Modernization Act of 2016 (HOTMA) provisions that impact the housing choice voucher program.  Mr. Dennis has over thirty years experience at HUD working with the Department’s rental assistance, public housing, and disaster housing assistance programs in a number of different capacities, including serving as the Director of the Office of Housing Voucher Programs from 2011-2014 and the Deputy Director of that office from 2008-2011.
