Cynthia Peraza

Cynthia Peraza is the Director of Community Programs. She has been with Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) since 2011. She has over 20 years of managerial and leadership experience and over 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry, marketing with an emphasis on customer experience, and relationship management. Cynthia has played an instrumental role in the creation and development of multiple programs that help prevent foreclosures, stabilize communities, increase the access and inventory of affordable housing, and assist low-to-moderate income familiesā€™ age in place. Currently, Cynthia oversees over 30 state and federally funded programs across the state.

Cynthia has completed numerous well-regarded leadership programs offered by the state. She graduated from LEAD Tennessee in 2014, Tennessee Government Management Institute in 2017, Tennessee Government Executive Institute in 2018, and NCSHAā€™s Leading in an Era of Complexity Executive Management Program at the University of Notre Dame in 2019.

A California native, Cynthia made Tennessee her new home 12 years ago.
