Connie Helmlinger

Connie Helmlinger, APR, joined the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency in 2004 after 16 years at several national trade associations in Washington, DC. As manager of public relations and marketing, she directs the Agency’s marketing, public relations, website and social media programs, coordinates a statewide annual conference and awards program and oversees internal communications. During her tenure, she has built a consistent and engaging brand for the Agency through an expanded social media presence, several contemporary websites and innovative consumer marketing campaigns and has worked with industry partners to double attendance at the annual conference. She is currently immediate past president of the North Carolina chapter of the Public Relations Society of American and serves on the George Washington University Digital Marketing Certificate Program Advisory Council.
