Dean Christon was appointed executive director of New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority in July 2007. He has been with New Hampshire Housing for more than 20 years, serving as deputy executive director, operations/chief operating officer, and assistant director. Prior to joining the Authority, Christon was staff director for the Joint Committee on Review of Agencies and Programs of the New Hampshire General Court. He has extensive background in program and performance evaluation, policy analysis and planning.
Christon serves as a member of the Heritage United Way Board of Directors and chairs that organization’s Community Impact Committee and served as vice chair of the New Hampshire Housing and Conservation Planning Program Advisory Committee. He serves on the Board of Trustees for NeighborWorks of Greater Manchester, the New Hampshire Emergency Shelter and Homeless Coordination Commission, the Community Development Finance Authority/Housing Futures Fund Advisory Committee, and the Community Development Advisory Committee of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston.
Christon holds a bachelor of art degree in political science from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire, and a master of public administration from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
