Tim Kenny has served as Executive Director of the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority (NIFA) since 1994. Kenny has also served as the Director of Programs for the Utah Housing Finance Agency and the Executive Director of the Texas Housing Finance Agency.
Before moving to the public sector, Kenny began his professional career as a CPA in an international firm of Certified Public Accountants with a tax and audit practice in Dallas, Texas. Later he was the Chief Financial Officer for a firm with home building, real estate development and recreation/resort projects in Texas and Colorado.
A native of San Antonio, Texas, Kenny has worked in the wholesale building materials, cabinet manufacturing and the family home building businesses. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Accounting at the University of Texas at Austin and has completed public sector executive level training at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
The Nebraska Investment Finance Authority, headquartered in Lincoln, Nebraska is an internally funded, multi-purpose authority that operates programs to finance affordable single and multi-family housing developments, New Markets Tax Credit projects, medical facilities, community infrastructure, industrial development projects and first-time farmers/ranchers.
