Kasey Kier was appointed Assistant Commissioner at Minnesota Housing in 2014. In this role, she leads the Single Family Division which promotes and supports successful homeownership through homebuyer education, counseling, and outreach and provides financing for a variety of affordable lending programs for low to moderate income Minnesotans. She is responsible for the overall planning, management and oversight of the Single Family Home Mortgage, Home Improvement, Community Development programs and production. Ms. Kier has been with Minnesota Housing since 1994. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Business Management and Management Information Systems from Augsburg College, Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is a graduate of the Mortgage Bankers Association School of Mortgage Banking and holds the Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) specialist designation. She serves on the Minnesota Homeownership Center Board of Directors, Co-Leads the Homeownership Opportunity Alliance and is a member of the Freddie Mac Affordable Housing Advisory Council.
