Don Watt

Don is the Director of Community Programs Division and the Acting Director of the Multifamily Programs Division with the Tennessee Housing Development Agency. In these roles, he leads implementation of federal and state grant programs, including HOME, Emergency Solutions Grant, National Housing Trust Fund, Low Income Home Energy Assistance, and Weatherization Assistance programs; state funded programs targeting individuals with disabilities, those who are homeless or have other special needs; and the state’s Low Income Housing Tax Credit and Multifamily Bond Programs.  Prior to joining THDA in 2015, Don worked for more than 20 years with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs/Georgia Housing and Finance Authority managing a variety of grant and loan programs serving the homeless, individuals with special needs, and low income families.  He possesses a Masters of City and Regional Planning from The Ohio State University.
