The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency today announced that the Pennsylvania Homeowner Assistance Fund will be reopening on Monday, March 18, 2024, to homeowners struggling as a result of pandemic-related financial hardships. PAHAF provides financial assistance to eligible homeowners for mortgage and housing-related expenses to address delinquency and avoid default, foreclosure or displacement from their homes.Ā 

New Mexico Homeowner Assistance Fund Provides Over $43 Million to More Than 4,200 Households

The New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority assisted 4,217 New Mexico households by providing $43.5 million in assistance from the New Mexico Homeowner Assistance Fund program from 2021 through the application submittal end date of March 1, 2024. White House Calls for Lower Housing Costs, Increased Supply; Previews Proposals in State of the Union, FY25 Budget Request

This afternoon, the White House published a fact sheet outlining major affordable housing proposals President Biden will reference in his State of the Union address tonight and his Fiscal Year 2025 Budget Request scheduled for release on March 11. The president will call on Congress to pass legislation to lower the costs of rent and homeownership and significantly increase the supply of rental and for-sale housing by building and preserving more than two million homes.
