On April 3, NCSHA welcomed Stockton Williams on board as the organization’s new Executive Director, following his appointment by the Board of Directors in March.
Stockton has held senior leadership positions in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors throughout a career dedicated to expanding housing opportunity. He was previously Executive Vice President of Content and Executive Director of the Terwilliger Center for Housing at the Urban Land Institute (ULI).
Before joining ULI, Stockton was Managing Principal of HR&A Advisors’ Washington, D.C., office. He also served as Senior Advisor in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the U.S. Department of Energy. He has held leadership positions at Enterprise Community Partners and Living Cities and with an affordable housing developer.
Stockton worked for NCSHA for five years at the beginning of his career, and of his return said, “I am deeply honored by the opportunity to rejoin NCSHA and the housing finance agency community at a time when the states’ role in solving our nation’s housing challenges is more important than ever.”
