Ormand Elected President of the National Conference of State Housing Boards

Columbia, SC attorney and South Carolina State Housing Finance and Development Authority (SC Housing) Commissioner Kenneth E. Ormand, Jr. has been elected President of the National Conference of State Housing Boards (NCSHB).

NCSHB provides educational and training opportunities for state housing finance authority board members to help them govern their agencies most effectively.  He was elected at the National Council of State Housing Authorities’ annual conference in Boston, MA.

An attorney primarily practicing in real estate, construction and housing law, Mr. Ormand has served on the SC Housing Board of Commissioners since March 2012.

Since 1976, he has been an active member of the Columbia, South Carolina and National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), serving as a national director and member of the national Legal Action Committee and as a founding member and the first President of the Columbia Home Builders Association Charitable Foundation.

Mr. Ormand was inducted into the South Carolina Housing Hall of Fame in 2002.
