Andre Perry is a Fellow in the Metropolitan Policy Program at Brookings, a scholar-in-residence at American University, and a columnist for the Hechinger Report. He is a nationally known and respected commentator on race, structural inequality, and education. His research focuses on race and structural inequality, education, and economic inclusion. Perryā€™s recent scholarship at Brookings has analyzed Black-majority cities and institutions in America, focusing on valuable assets worthy of increased investment. Read more

Professor Brattā€™s research has focused on a range of current and historical U.S. federal and state housing policies and programs and the role of nonprofit organizations in supplying decent, affordable housing for low-income households. She was on the Tufts faculty from 1976 to 2014 and served as chair of the Department of Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning. From 2013ā€“2020 Professor Bratt was a Senior Research Fellow at the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University, and in 2017ā€“2018, she was a visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. Rocio Sanchez-Moyano joined the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco in 2020 as a senior researcher in the Center for Community Development Investments. Sanchez-Moyanoā€™s areas of expertise include housing and asset building, with a special interest in racial equity and the experiences of Hispanic and immigrant households. At the Center, her focus is on emerging trends in community development finance and financial inclusion, including the role of fintech in low-income communities. Previously, Sanchez-Moyano worked on a variety of housing topics at the Terner Center for Housing Innovation and Urban Displacement Project at UC Berkeley and at the Joint Center for Housing Studies at Harvard University.
