NCSHA’s senior policy and government affairs team will provide the latest insights into post-election policymaking in Washington, DC and updates on NCSHA’s work with members of Congress and federal agency officials to advance state HFA priorities. HFA board members will share their experiences in engaging federal officials on behalf of their HFA.

Leaders from the state housing finance community will discuss how state HFAs have responded to Covid-19 needs to date and what the experience and trends suggest agencies should be doing to prepare for the next phases of relief and recovery. The discussion will include a look at what HFAs are doing to deliver emergency housing assistance in their states.

Topics will include agency succession planning; evaluating and selecting consultants; optimizing the board-executive director relationship; communicating the role and value of HFAs to new board members, and other issues.
