Guest Registration

A special guest registration is available for $150 that admits your guest to the reception(s) included with your registration package. To register your guest, please contact the NCSHA Registrar; guest registration is not available online. All guests, including children of attendees, must present a guest badge to be admitted to receptions. Each guest registrant must be associated with a registered conference attendee. NCSHA members may not register as guests.

Speaker Registration Policy

NCSHA requires that all speakers and discussion leaders register for the conference.

Press Policy

A limited number of press credentials may be issued for NCSHA conferences and events. All requests must be received and approved in advance of the event by NCSHA’s Director of Marketing and Communications; press registration is not available on site. Please email Lisa Bowman with your request. Press credentials are granted to individuals who are on assignment for, or employees of, a media outlet appropriate to the coverage of affordable housing news.

Please contact to make sure that the sessions you are interested in covering are open to the press. NCSHA reserves the right to close sessions to the press at any time.

If you are issued press credentials, upon arrival at the hotel, please proceed directly to the NCSHA Registration and Information Desk to check in and pick up your press badge. Badges are required to access session rooms.

Registration and Payment

Registering and paying online is easy. Click on the Register button on the left. Credit cards are accepted for online registration only. To pay by check, print your invoice and mail it with payment to NCSHA. Make checks payable to NCSHA.

You can also register by fax or mail by printing the Registration Form and returning it to NCSHA along with your payment.

Each registrant must pay in full prior to the conference. Only those who have paid in full will be admitted to conference activities.

Special Needs/Dietary Requests

If you have special needs under the Americans With Disabilities Act — or if you have special dietary requirements — please explain those needs in the space provided online in the ADA Needs text box on the Event Registration page or on the Registration Form.

Substitution Policy

If you have registered and are no longer able to attend, you may substitute another individual at no additional charge. The payment made for the original registrant will be applied to the replacement’s registration. Substitutions are allowed at any time and must be requested in writing.

Cancellation Policy

To help you make plans to participate, we have modified our registration policies: Cancellations received in writing on or before May 22 will be fully refunded. If the event is not held, all registrations will be refunded.

Cancellations must be received in writing; confirmation of faxed cancellations may be required. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after the May 22 cancellation deadline, or for registrants who fail to attend the conference. “No shows” will be billed the full registration fee.

Photography and Recording Policies

Recording (audio or video) in sessions and events is not permitted. Registration and attendance at or participation in NCSHA meetings and other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to NCSHA’s use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant’s image in photographs or video recordings. Please contact Lisa Bowman at if you have questions about this policy.

Conference Admission

Your name badge must be worn at all times. It is your ticket to sessions, meals, the Marketplace, receptions, and other networking events applicable to your registration category.

Attendee List

Attendees who register after Friday, May 15, may not appear on the conference attendee list.
