Join NCSHA for the industry event of the year as we convene 1,200 Housing Credit professionals for four days of unparalleled networking and education — and NCSHA’s largest annual exhibition of affordable housing finance products and services.
Keynote speaker Dr. Mark Joseph of Case Western Reserve University’s National Initiative on Mixed-Income Communities leads our exploration of all things Housing Credit with his insights on tackling urban poverty through mixed-income development.
Joseph kicks off the robust discussions in newly-focused educational tracks tailored to specific Housing Credit disciplines:
The Development and Construction track features sessions on affordable housing design, development and construction challenges, Average Income Test development, capital needs assessments, and innovations in modular construction and concludes with a dynamic development hot topics forum.
The highlight of the Finance and Investment track is our annual standing-room-only update on the Housing Credit equity market. We’ll also discuss tax-exempt bond and preservation financing strategies, RAD development, Opportunity Zones, state tax credits, and the investment process.
The Tax and Housing Policy track addresses legislative advocacy, threats to long-term affordability, CRA regulatory reform, new partnership audit and tax rules, and policy development and underwriting data and includes a valuable opportunity to ask legal and accounting experts questions in an open forum.
And the Compliance and Management track features our popular panel on compliance hot topics as well as sessions on calculating tenant income and assets, monitoring Average Income Test compliance, physical inspection and site visit strategies, income limits and utility allowances, and reasonable accommodation requests, before concluding with an industrywide compliance and management forum.
