Speaker Registration Policy
NCSHA requires that all speakers and discussion leaders register for the conference.
A limited number of press credentials may be issued for NCSHA conferences and events, and requests must be approved prior to issuance. Press credentials are granted to individuals who are on assignment for, or employees of, a media outlet appropriate to the coverage of affordable housing news. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to make sure that the sessions you are interested in covering are open to the press. NCSHA reserves the right to close sessions to the press at any time.
Registration and Payment
Click on the Register button above. Credit cards are accepted for online registration only. To pay by check, print your invoice and mail it with payment to NCSHA. Make checks payable to NCSHA.
You can also register by fax or mail by printing the Registration Form and returning it to NCSHA along with your payment.
Each registrant must pay in full prior to the conference. Only those who have paid in full will be admitted to Institute activities.
Special Needs/Dietary Requests
If you have special needs under the Americans With Disabilities Act—or if you have special dietary requirements—please explain those needs in the space provided online in the ADA Needs text box on the Event Registration page or on the Registration Form.
If you have registered and are no longer able to attend, you may substitute another individual at no additional charge. The payment made for the original registrant will be applied to the replacement’s registration. Substitutions are allowed at any time and must be requested in writing.
Cancellations must be received in writing. Confirmation of faxed cancellations may be required. No refunds will be given for cancellations received after the cancellation cutoff day of Wednesday, December 26, or for registrants who fail to attend the conference. “No shows” will be billed the full registration fee. A $75 administrative fee will be deducted from all approved refunds.
Photography and Recording Policy
Registration and attendance at or participation in NCSHA meetings and other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to NCSHA’s use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant’s or attendee’s image in photographs or video recordings. Recording (audio or video) in sessions and events by non-NCSHA staff is not permitted. Please contact Lisa Bowman at email@example.com if you have questions about this policy.
Your name badge must be worn at all times. It is your ticket to sessions, meals, module Happy Hour, and other networking events applicable to your registration category.
Attire and Climate
Business casual attire is appropriate for all conference activities. In January, Washington temperatures typically range from the low 40s during the day to the upper 20s at night. Hotel temperatures may vary, so a sweater is recommended.
Attendees who register after Wednesday, January 9, may not appear on the conference attendee list.
Contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any registration questions.
