Do you have a reservation you no longer need? If you have a hotel room at the conference rate that you no longer need, please consider turning the room over to NCSHA by sending this completed Room Release Form to Jessica Furst. We will use your hotel room to accommodate attendees on our waiting list.

Room Reservation Policy

You must first register for the conference with NCSHA before you can make a hotel reservation within NCSHA’s room block. The registration confirmation letter you receive will include the link you need to make a reservation online at the conference headquarters hotel.

Hotel rooms within NCSHA’s room block are for Annual Conference & Showplace registrants. Once registered, please do not reserve multiple hotel rooms or make reservations in the block for people who are not registered for the conference. NCSHA will review the hotel reservation lists weekly and notify people found holding duplicate reservations or reservations without corresponding registrations. Failure to register within two business days thereafter will result in loss of the discounted group room rate without further notice; the room will be charged at the hotel’s prevailing rate.

Green Initiatives

NCSHA continues to make strides in incorporating environmental responsibility into its conferences. The Sheraton Boston is an ally in this effort.

The Make a Green Choice program started in 2009 as an additional way to increase sustainability and reduce the hospitality industry’s environmental footprint. The program allows guests to be part of that sustainability effort when it fits their needs, giving them an opportunity to reduce water, energy, and chemical usage. The program has grown in popularity with guests over the years and continues to evolve, such as with the launch of a tree planting choice in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation. The Sheraton Boston is happy to provide regular housekeeping services for any guest who does not choose to participate in the Make a Green Choice program.

Recently, the hotel reached an agreement with Unite Here at a national level that allowed for implementation of the program at hotels which had yet to implement it and that addressed the union’s concern the program creates additional work for room attendants.
