        About the Annual Conference
NCSHA's Annual Conference & Showplace is the premier gathering of state Housing Finance Agencies (HFAs) and NCSHA affiliate members. It is the main networking event of the year for HFAs and the partners who work with them to increase housing opportunities through the financing, development, and preservation of affordable housing. Take advantage of the unparalleled professional development in ten program focus areas, including communications, finance, governance, homeownership, human relations, information technology, legal, management innovation, rental and special needs housing. Applaud the best work of all HFAs and congratulate the winners at Monday's Celebratory Opening Plenary Breakfast. Join your colleagues and friends from across the country to network and have some fun at the President’s Reception.

        Attendance Policy
The 2015 Annual Conference & Showplace is open only to employees and board members of HFA, affiliate, and associate members of NCSHA. NCSHA members may not register as guests. For more information on how to become a member, contact Phaedra Stoger at membership@ncsha.org.

        Press Policy
A limited number of press credentials may be issued for NCSHA conferences and events, and requests must be approved prior to issuance. Press credentials are granted to individuals who are on assignment for, or employees of, a media outlet appropriate to the coverage of affordable housing news. Please contact Sarah Lawler, Director of Marketing and Communications, to make sure that the sessions you are interested in covering are open to the press. NCSHA reserves the right to close sessions to the press at any time.

        Registration and Payment

Pre-registration is closed. Attendees who still wish to register for the conference may register on-site.

Each registrant must pay in full prior to the meeting. Only those who have paid in full will be admitted to conference activities.

Give Back to the Local Community
NCSHA is partnering with the Nashville Rescue Mission (nashvillerescuemission.org), a local nonprofit providing hope to the hungry, homeless, and hurting in middle Tennessee. Through its Life Recovery Programs, the Mission offers education, job training, and counseling to help others build a better future.

The Mission is giving Annual Conference & Showplace registrants the opportunity to assist by serving in its kitchen on Saturday, September 26 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Volunteers should plan to meet at the NCSHA registration desk 30 minutes prior to the start of their assigned shift.

Capacity is limited, so sign up no later than August 31. Email your name, organization, cell phone number, and desired shift to Glenn Gallo at ggallo@ncsha.org, who will confirm your participation and shift after the deadline.

Are you unable to assist at the kitchen? You can also help the Mission by donating toiletries. Drop your partially used or unused shampoo, soap, and conditioner in the collection containers
located by the NCSHA registration desk. NCSHA will deliver them to the Mission following the conference.

        Special Needs/Dietary Requests
If you have special needs under the Americans With Disabilities Act—or if you have special dietary requirements—please explain those needs in the space provided online in the ADA Needs text box on the Event Registration page or on the Registration Form.

        Substitution Policy

If you have registered and are no longer able to attend, you may substitute another individual at no additional charge. The payment made for the original registrant will be applied to the replacement's registration. Substitutions are allowed at any time and must be requested in writing.

        Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received in writing. Confirmation of faxed cancellations may be required. No refunds will be given for cancellations received after Tuesday, September 8 or for registrants who fail to attend the conference. "No shows" will be billed the full registration fee. A $75 administrative fee will be deducted from all approved refunds.

        Conference Admission

Your name badge must be worn at all times. It is your ticket to sessions, meals, President's Reception, the Showplace, Happy Hour, and other networking events applicable to your registration category.

        Attire and Climate

Business casual attire is appropriate for all conference activities, including the President’s Reception. In September, Nashville temperatures typically range from the low 80s during the day to the low 60s at night. Hotel temperatures may vary, so a sweater is recommended.

        Attendee List

Attendees who register after Tuesday, September 15 may not appear on the conference attendee list.

        CPE Sponsor

NCSHA is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be addressed to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors, through its website: www.learningmarket.org.

NCSHA’s Annual Conference & Showplace features a comprehensive series of sessions for both new professionals and seasoned practitioners. No advanced preparation is required for the conference; however a basic knowledge of state housing finance agencies and their programs is necessary due to the intermediate program level. You can earn approximately 15 credits if you attend all sessions.

For more information regarding administrative policies, such as complaints or refunds, please contact NCSHA at 202-624-7710. To receive CPE certification, complete the CPE evaluation form available at the NCSHA registration desk.

        Continuing Legal Education Credit

Those seeking CLE credit must apply directly to their state bar association. For more information, visit the NCSHA registration desk.

        Consent to Use Photographic Images

Registration and attendance at or participation in NCSHA meetings and related activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to NCSHA's use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant's or attendee's image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions, and audiotapes of such events and activities. Exceptions to this consent must be made in writing to Sarah Lawler, Director of Marketing and Communications.
