Salary Range: $36,814 – $65,827
Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

This position monitors federally assisted multifamily rental properties for compliance with various federal and state guidelines, applicable laws and all ADOH Policies and Procedures. Monitoring includes a fair amount of vehicular travel around the State of Arizona with overnight stays to complete the required functions of this position. The Program Specialist is responsible for monitoring Project Based Section 8 subsidized housing through the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Management and Occupancy Review (MOR) process and MOR Report. This includes all aspects of the process from planning and strategizing MOR Plans, sending MOR Notifications, and assessing and completing a thorough desk review.

Highest qualified candidates will have experience in or knowledge of requirements of rental housing subsidized through Project Based Section 8, HUD, Housing Choice Voucher, and other public subsidies, and/or have prior property management or monitoring experience. Certificates such as training in Housing Quality Standards, (HQS), Uniform Physical Condition Standards (UPCS), Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Certified Manager of Housing (CMH), and/or any other similar training/certificate(s) will be considered when selecting candidates for interview. Candidate must be very detail oriented and organized and demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively both verbally and through electronic, and written means. Must have the ability to work amicably with other team members. Valid Arizona Driver License and acceptable driving record required.
