Asset Manager, Housing Finance Unit
Do you like evaluating financials and reviewing legal contracts? Do you enjoy working with accountants and attorneys to creatively re-structure multi-million dollar multi-family housing? Does problem solving, continuously learning new things and the thrill of developing a better mousetrap sound like an awesome and satisfying day? If so, we just might have the career you are looking for. The Department of Commerce is seeking to hire a senior level position on our Asset Management team to spearhead the restructuring of some of Washington’s most challenging affordable housing projects. A typical day includes collaborating with non-profit accountants, attorneys and construction development teams to determine what problems they may have and how we can help. As Asset Managers, we are responsible for reviewing loan/grant contracts, deeds of trust, priority & subordination agreements and the project’s corresponding financial statements using proprietary evaluation tools to review, develop and document a plan to senior management for submission and approval. If you are a solution oriented self-starter with a glass half full mindset, your work as a fellow teammate with the Housing Finance Unit could make a significant impact in both your life and on communities across the state that are struggling with housing our less fortunate homeless and low income neighbors. Apply today and change the trajectory of your future!
