On August 9, MSN Money posted a front-page article on affordable housing finance options for potential homeowners that included a prominent link to NCSHA's website.  The article directed readers to NCSHA.org to learn about state and local homebuyer incentive programs that offer features such as down payment and closing cost assistance and low-interest-rate home loans.

As a result of the article, traffic to NCSHA.org increased dramatically as thousands of potential homebuyers used NCSHA's HFA directory to find housing help in their state.  On August 10, the number of first-time visitors to NCSHA.org increased 500 percent and the total number of page views increased 400 percent from the previous day.  Traffic to NCSHA's HFA directory increased 1000 percent from the previous day.  Because of the link from MSN Money, in addition to NCSHA's continuing coverage of events in Washington and new details on NCSHA's Annual Conference and Showplace, NCSHA.org's monthly traffic for August is on pace to eclipse traffic levels for any previous month in the website's history.
