Austin Affordable Housing Corporation (AAHC) is a non-profit subsidiary of the Housing Authority of the City of Austin (HACA) created in 2003 to preserve and increase the stock of affordable housing for low- to moderate-income families in Austin as well as provide financial literacy and homeownership opportunities. As a High Performing Housing Authority that assists over 18,000 Austinites, the Housing Authority of the City of Austin (HACA) owns and operates nearly 1,900 units of conventional public housing in 18 developments throughout Austin. Development sites range from high-rise apartments to small duplexes in residential neighborhoods.

HACA also manages the Housing Choice Voucher/Section 8 Program that provides rental vouchers for more than 5,000 units of housing in Austin's private rental market.
