The Wyoming Profile of Demographics, Economics and Housing semiannual report dated August 31, 2012 with information through June 30, 2012 is now available to the general public. The publication is sponsored and distributed by the Wyoming Community Development Authority (WCDA), Wyoming's housing finance agency.

The profile report, traditionally referred to as the "Blue Book", contains statistical and narrative information about trends in Wyoming's economy and demographics and how those trends affect housing.

The demographic information examines trends in Wyoming's population, in and out-migration and poverty levels. The economic information looks at state employment, personal income, median family income, and personal bankruptcy. Housing information includes the examination of households, the housing price index, existing home sales prices, homeowner vacancy rates, new construction building permits, rental rates, rental vacancy rates, manufactured housing, and available mobile home lots in Wyoming. Also included are surveys on rental vacancy and a housing needs assessment.

Every county in Wyoming is profiled in relation to its housing information and needs. A 'Housing Needs Forecast' and a commentary on Wyoming housing are also included.

According to WCDA Deputy Director Cheryl Gillum, the information contained in the semiannual report is extremely useful for various state agencies, housing organizations, mortgage brokers, lenders, real estate agents, municipalities, and economic development groups.

Copies of the report are available free of charge and may be downloaded from the WCDA website: http://www.wyomingcda.com. On the frontpage, select the blue "Wyo Demographics" button, and "Volume I and Volume II" buttons to access the publications.

The information in the 2012 Profile was gathered by the Wyoming Housing Database Partnership. Data partners include the Wyoming Department of Transportation, the Wyoming County Assessors, the Wyoming Department of Administration and Information - Division of Economic Analysis, the Wyoming Department of Revenue, and the Multiple Listing Service Organizations of Campbell County, Casper, Cheyenne, Northwest Wyoming, and Teton County.
