The winning programs were judged on originality, innovation, a proven track record in the marketplace, cost/benefit ratio, and measurable benefits provided to targeted customers.
The winning programs were chosen from entries submitted by HFAs across the country and will serve as models for other HFA programs. “This year in particular, the entries show the innovation and spirit of HFAs. Even in these difficult times, HFAs are creating programs that help deserving people get and keep homes they can afford,” said NCSHA’s executive director Barbara Thompson
A special Impact Award was given by NCSHA’s Executive Committee to Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency executive director and CEO Brian Hudson for sharing his expertise about emergency mortgage assistance programs with HFAs across the country.
