Casper - Governor Dave Freudenthal reappointed two Wyoming Community Development Authority (WCDA) Board members to additional four year terms.
Current Board Vice Chairman Wayne Deahl, an instructor at Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington, and current Board Secretary Dan Sullivan, a Casper-based government relations consultant, were reappointed to terms that will end March 1, 2014. This will be the second term for both Sullivan and Deahl.
The Board of Directors establishes the direction and oversees policy for the organization. In reappointing Deahl and Sullivan, Governor Freudenthal thanked them for continuing to serve the people of Wyoming.
WCDA Board Chairman, Ed Luhm said, “Both Dan and Wayne have demonstrated a whole-hearted commitment to WCDA in their first terms on the board. There is no doubt that their hard work and sound professional judgment will continue to greatly benefit the board and our organization as a whole. I am grateful to the Governor for his continued confidence in these men.”
As Wyoming’s housing finance agency, the WCDA is an instrumentality of the state, but does not receive any state funding. The WCDA finances affordable housing in Wyoming by making loans for first-time homebuyers and by the administration of federal resources for affordable rental housing.
