Summary
On April 20, HUD published a final notice in the Federal Register establishing the Small Area Fair Market Rent (FMR) Demonstration Project for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program. The notice provides HUD’s responses to comments filed in response to a May 18, 2010 notice announcing HUD’s intent to operate a small area FMR demonstration in several metropolitan areas. The purpose of this demonstration is to provide voucher holders with the chance to move to areas of greater opportunity.
