    Delaware State Housing Authority (DSHA) is pleased to announce that 335 affordable housing units will be created and/or preserved thanks to awards being made through the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. The 2010 LIHTC Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) included incentives for developers to construct fully accessible units, as well as a new category to encourage developers to build new units that will add 83 affordable apartments to the statewide inventory.

    The Delaware State Housing Authority (DSHA) today announced that 19 communities and scattered sites will receive funds from the state’s Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME). More than $2.2 million in funding will be divided amongst the municipalities of Kent and Sussex Counties for housing rehabilitation, water/sewer hookups, demolition, street repair, storm water drainage and administration.

    Delaware State Housing Authority (DSHA) Director Anas Ben Addi , along with Secretary of the Department of Services for Children, Youth, and Their Families (DSCYF) Vivian Rapposelli, today announced that DSHA has been awarded fifty (50) Family Unification Housing Vouchers through the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development’s competitive application process. In addition to helping bring families together, these vouchers can now also be used to provide housing assistance to youth between 18 and 21 years of age who have left foster care and need affordable and decent housing in a safe environment.
