Luis and Fanny Villasana were among the first residents to move into Gateway Place in Chanhassen, a tax credit property that offers 48 units of affordable housing in an area with limited housing options for low- and middle-income families like the Villasanas.
They were delighted to settle into a spacious three-bedroom unit where their two boys each have their own room after moving from their one-bedroom apartment in Richfield.
Fanny and Luis are thrilled with the amenities of Gateway Place. They have laundry facilities in their unit, underground parking to protect them from Minnesota winters, and a large play area for the boys. One of the greatest advantages of their move is that Luis works in the community and has drastically reduced his commute.
This location provides the family a quieter and safer place to call home.
