        ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
         
        The Institute's four program-specific conferences will strengthen your understanding of program fundamentals and explore advanced techniques for administering the Low Income Housing Tax Credit; the HOME Investment Partnerships program; Mortgage Revenue Bonds, Federal Housing Administration and rural housing mortgage insurance; and HUD's Performance-Based Section 8 Contract Administration initiative.
         
        These premier training events provide an unprecedented chance to network with your peers and receive top-notch education and invaluable advice from key federal officials, leading trainers and consultants, noted industry professionals, and experienced HFA practitioners. Training sessions will cover program basics, legislative and regulatory updates, industry perspectives, and the solutions to the latest program administration challenges. The conference will also feature great networking events and roundtables open exclusively to HFA staff. It's a one-of-a-kind opportunity for high-quality, in-depth instruction on these essential HFA programs.

        REGISTRATION INFORMATION

        Registration must be confirmed by check, credit card, or purchase order. Make checks payable to NCSHA. Each registrant must pay in full prior to the conference. Only those who have paid in full will be admitted to conference activities, including educational sessions and networking events. Early registration fees apply only when payment is postmarked by Monday, December 19.

        Registration 

        Online: Online registration for the HFA Institute is closed. Please register at the NCSHA registration desk at the conference. Contact registration@ncsha.org with any online registration questions.
         

        Special Discount

        If you register for two or more modules you will be eligible to receive a single $50 discount. To receive this discount, please register using the
        Registration Form and mail it with payment to NCSHA. The discount is not available online. In order to receive the discount, two or more modules must be registered for at the same time.


        Speaker Registration Policy
        NCSHA requires that all speakers and discussion leaders register for the conference.


        Cancellation Policy
        Cancellations must be received in writing. Confirmation of faxed cancellations may be required. No refunds will be given for cancellations received after Wednesday, December 21 or for registrants who fail to attend the conference. "No shows" will be billed the full registration fee. A $75 cancellation fee will be deducted from all approved refunds.


        Substitution Policy
        If you have registered and are no longer able to attend, you may substitute another individual at no additional charge. The payment made for the original registrant will be applied to the replacement's registration. Substitutions are allowed at any time and must be requested in writing.


        Conference Admission
        Conference registration is required for all conferences activities. Guest registrations apply solely to the Happy Hour event.


        Badge Policy
        Your name badge must be worn at all times. The badge is your ticket to all conference sessions, meals and special events, including happy hours. NCSHA reserves the right to deny entrance to conference events to anyone not wearing their badge.


        Special Needs/Dietary Needs

        If you have special needs under the Americans With Disabilities Act, please explain those needs on your
        Registration Form or online in the ADA Needs text box on the Event Registration page. In addition, please provide information on special dietary requirements.


        Attendee List
        Attendees who register after Friday, December 30 may not appear on the conference attendee list.


        CPE Accreditation
        NCSHA is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.         NCSHA’s HFA Institute features a comprehensive series of sessions for both new professionals and seasoned practitioners. No advanced preparation is required for the conference; however a basic knowledge of state housing finance agencies and their programs is necessary due to the intermediate program level. You can earn approximately 14 to 16 credits per module if you attend all sessions. (The number varies based on the module(s) attended.)

        Continuing Legal Education Credit
        Those seeking CLE credit must apply directly to their state bar association. For more information, visit the NCSHA registration desk.
         
        Certificate of Completion
        To receive a certificate of completion attendees of the HFA Institute are required to fill out an evaluation, providing feedback to help NCSHA measure the effectiveness of the current program and shape future curricula. Evaluation surveys will be emailed to all attendees following the conference. Certificates of completion will be mailed to eligible attendees after the conference.
