2009 HFA Institute, January 11-16 (Washington, DC)

Here's a professional development opportunity you can't afford to miss! NCSHA has taken its most intensive training conferences and focused them even more tightly on the federal programs HFAs administer. We've also tailored the agendas to provide NCSHA affiliates and members of the general public a special opportunity to learn more about these programs, how they are administered, and the HFAs' role in them.

The 2009 Institute is more essential than ever, with a brand-new Congress and Administration poised to shake up Washington, and abundant program and regulatory changes stemming from the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 altering the way some core programs operate. In addition, the Institute provides a unique opportunity to hear direct from the state agencies on significant 2009 policy changes and housing priorities.

The Institute's four program-specific conferences will strengthen your understanding of program fundamentals and explore advanced techniques for administering the Low Income Housing Tax Credit; the HOME Investment Partnerships program; Mortgage Revenue Bonds, Federal Housing Administration and rural housing mortgage insurance; and HUD's Performance-Based Section 8 Contract Administration initiative.
