From Saturday, October 20 to Tuesday, October 23, NCSHA members including state HFA executive directors and staff, HFA board members, and NCSHA affiliates gathered in Orlando for NCSHA's Annual Conference and Showplace, the premier event of the year for the affordable housing industry. Attendees discussed affordable housing solutions and best practices and made valuable business connections with exhibiting companies in the Showplace.
 

At the opening plenary, the winners of the Annual Awards for Program Excellence were revealed and the audience heard from NCSHA President and Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency's Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer Brian Hudson and economist Ron Insana.

Conference attendees were offered three opportunities to give back to the community of Central Florida. They generously donated materials and their time to the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, Harbor House of Central Florida, and A Gift for Teaching.

Throughout the conference, attendees learned from affordable housing leaders about the financing, development, and preservation of affordable housing, as well as new communications techniques and advocacy strategies.

In the Showplace, dozens of exhibitors shared new products, initiatives, services, and technologies with attendees throughout the day on Monday.
